How MarginGauge is funded
MarginGauge is free to use. To keep it that way, the site earns money in two ways, and we think you deserve to know exactly how:
1. Affiliate commissions
MarginGauge is a participant in the eBay Partner Network (and may join other affiliate programs). That means: when you click certain links on this site and make a purchase on eBay, we may earn a commission. You never pay more by using our links — the price is identical either way. The commission is paid by eBay out of its own fees.
In practice: links on our Deals page and links pointing to eBay listings, searches, or stores are typically affiliate links.
2. Advertising
We plan to run display advertising (e.g. Google AdSense or similar networks) as traffic grows. Ads, when present, will be distinguishable from content.
What this does not change
- Our fee data is verified against eBay's official fee pages and updated when fees change — sponsorships don't influence the numbers.
- We don't accept payment for rankings or placement in our guides.
- We only recommend tools and products we'd use in our own selling operation.
FTC compliance
This disclosure follows the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's 16 CFR Part 255 guidance on endorsements and affiliate relationships: it is clear, conspicuous, placed on the site itself (not hidden behind a link), and appears before you click any outbound affiliate links.
